About us
Below you will find more details about me and my fellow team! We hope we can assist you and we can get along!
Hi, I’m Genesis, Founder and Piano Specialist.
Raised in Florida, my love for music began early, and by the age of eight, I was already at the piano, discovering the magic of melodies. I am proud to be enrolled with the Royal Conservatory of Music (RCM), where I have earned multiple advanced certifications in piano, music theory, and music history. I also hold an Associate’s Degree in Music and a Bachelor’s Degree in Music and Music Business, equipping me with the skills to not only perform but to inspire and guide my students on their musical journeys.
With over eight years of teaching experience, I specialize in personalized piano instruction with a strong foundation in music theory, technique, ear training, and musicianship. I actively prepare students for RCM examinations, competitions, and auditions for selective arts programs. My students have successfully gained admission to competitive institutions, including Boston Conservatory at Berklee, Bak Middle School of the Arts, and Dreyfoos School of the Arts.
I am a proud member of the Music Teachers National Association (MTNA), the Florida State Music Teachers Association (FSMTA), and the Palm Beach County Music Teachers Association (PBCMTA). These professional affiliations allow me to stay connected to the highest standards of music education and ongoing professional development.
My teaching philosophy centers on building confidence, creativity, and a lifelong appreciation for music. Whether a student is preparing for examinations, auditions, or simply learning for enjoyment, my goal is to provide engaging, individualized instruction that helps each student reach their fullest potential.
Hello, my name is Isaac Nam, and I am the Co-Owner and Piano Instructor at Motif Music Academy.
Originally from South Korea, I began studying piano at the age of four and received rigorous musical training through Korea’s highly competitive music education system. This early foundation instilled in me the discipline, technical precision, and dedication that continue to shape my teaching today.
My musical background spans Classical Piano, Jazz, Improvisation, Composition, and Contemporary Music, allowing me to help students develop both strong fundamentals and creative expression. In addition to traditional piano study, I enjoy helping students learn to play by ear, improvise, compose original music, and explore the styles they are most passionate about. I believe that music should be both structured and inspiring, balancing technical excellence with creativity and self-expression.
As Co-Owner of Motif Music Academy, I am dedicated to providing exceptional music education to students throughout Palm Beach County. Our academy maintains high standards of instruction while fostering a supportive and encouraging learning environment. We are affiliated with the Music Teachers National Association (MTNA), the Florida State Music Teachers Association (FSMTA), and the Palm Beach County Music Teachers Association (PBCMTA).
My teaching philosophy centers on individualized instruction and helping students reach their fullest potential. I understand that every student learns differently, and I strive to create lessons that are engaging, challenging, and rewarding. Whether a student is preparing for performances, examinations, auditions, or simply learning for personal enjoyment, I provide personalized guidance that builds confidence, musicianship, and a lifelong appreciation for music.
To me, the piano is more than an instrument—it is a powerful tool for creativity, self-expression, and personal growth. My goal is to help every student discover that connection while developing the skills and confidence to succeed both at the piano and beyond.
Hello, my name is Jonathan, and I’m a violinist based in West Palm Beach.
I’ve been playing the violin for most of my life, and music has always been where I feel most at home. I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Music, and one of my greatest joys is teaching . I love helping students discover their sound, their confidence, and their love for music.
When I’m not teaching, you can usually find me performing at weddings, galas, and special events. Sharing music with others—whether in a classroom or at a celebration—means the world to me.
My hope is to guide my students in a way that keeps them inspired and excited. The violin can be challenging, but with patience and the right support, it becomes a lifelong friend.
I’m grateful for every opportunity to teach, play, and connect through music.
